What is the difference between AM and RF?
AM (acousto-magnetic) systems work at 58kHz. RF (radio frequency) systems work at 8.2MHz. They are separate technologies: AM tags only work with AM gates, and RF tags only work with RF gates. See our AM vs RF guide for a full comparison.
How do I know which system my store already has?
Check the label or manual on your existing gates or deactivator for “58kHz” (AM) or “8.2MHz” (RF). You can also email us a photo of your gate, tag or label and we will identify it for you.
Are your tags compatible with other brands?
Our AM tags and labels are designed for standard 58kHz AM systems, and our RF tags and labels for standard 8.2MHz RF systems. Matching the frequency is what matters. If you are unsure, send us your system model before ordering.
What is the difference between hard tags and soft labels?
Hard tags are reusable and are removed at checkout with a magnetic detacher – ideal for clothing, shoes and bags. Soft labels are single-use stickers that are deactivated at checkout with a deactivator – ideal for packaged goods, cosmetics and groceries.
Do I need a detacher or a deactivator?
Use a detacher to remove reusable hard tags. Use a deactivator (decoder) to switch off soft labels. Many stores use both.
Which detacher strength should I choose?
Higher magnetic force (GS) releases tags with stronger locks. 5000GS suits standard tags; 10500GS–16000GS suits busier checkouts and tags with stronger locks.

Where do you ship from?
Orders ship free from our local warehouse in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Germany or the U.K., depending on your country. Processing takes 1–3 business days. See our Shipping Policy.
Do you ship to the Middle East, Africa or other countries?
Yes, by quote. Send us your inquiry with the products, quantities and destination, and we will reply with pricing and delivery options.
Do you offer bulk or multi-store pricing?
Yes. Request a quote with the products and quantities you need.
Warranty and returns
What warranty do you offer?
Electronic equipment (gates, deactivators, RFID devices) and magnetic detachers come with a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Tags and labels that arrive defective are replaced free of charge if reported within 30 days of delivery.
Can I return an item?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery if it is unused and in its original packaging. Opened or applied soft labels and used tags cannot be returned. See our Refund Policy.
I ordered the wrong frequency. What can I do?
Contact us right away. Unused items in original packaging can be returned within 30 days; return shipping is paid by the customer in this case.
