How it works.

Follow one item from the rail to the exit.

Step 1 · Sales floor

Tag the merchandise.

Each tag or label hides a small resonator tuned to one frequency, 58 kHz for AM or 8.2 MHz for RF. It stays on the item while it's on display.

Step 2 · Checkout

Release it when they pay.

A magnetic detacher unlocks hard tags in one motion. A deactivator pad switches soft labels off as they pass over it.

Step 3 · Exit

The gate watches the door.

Two antennas create a detection zone across the exit. They send a signal and listen for any tag that answers back.

58 kHzAM sends short pulses, then listens
8.2 MHzRF sweeps the signal continuously

Step 4 · Alarm

Unpaid items set it off.

An active tag answers the gate. Lights flash and the alarm sounds so staff can respond. Paid items pass quietly.

AM or RF?

Both stop tagged items at the door. They run on different frequencies, so you pick one and use it for the whole store.

Questions before you buy.

Can't find your answer? Send us a photo of your entrance and we'll take a look.

Will my existing tags work with a PACABA gate?

Yes, if the frequency matches. AM 58 kHz tags work with AM gates and RF 8.2 MHz tags work with RF gates. The frequency is usually printed on the tag or its packaging. If it isn't, send us a photo and we'll identify it.

How many antennas do I need?

A standard single door usually needs one pair. Double doors and open storefronts may need extra antennas. Send us the width of your entrance and we'll tell you exactly what to order.

What do I need for installation?

A power outlet near the entrance and space to fix the antennas to the floor on each side of the door. Product pages list the dimensions and what's in the box.

Do I need both a detacher and a deactivator?

Only if you use both kinds of tag. Hard tags need a detacher. Soft labels need a deactivator. Many clothing stores use only hard tags; supermarkets mostly use labels.

Where do orders ship from?

From our US warehouse or our warehouse in China, depending on stock. Your delivery estimate is shown at checkout. See the shipping policy.

Still not sure? We'll check for you.

Send us your entrance width, what you sell and the tags you use now. We'll reply with a matching system.
