Anti theft access control system and AM/RF tags

1. Supermarket anti-theft access control: the core defense line of intelligent security

Supermarket anti-theft access control is an indispensable security device in the retail industry, which monitors the status of goods in real time through electromagnetic or radio frequency technology to prevent unpaid goods from being taken out. The core principle is to use the signal interaction between tags (such as hard tags and soft tags) and access control detectors: when a labeled product passes through the access control, the system recognizes the tag signal and triggers an alarm. Modern access control systems have achieved multi technology integration, supporting various tag types such as acoustic magnetic (AM) and radio frequency (RF). Some high-end devices can also be linked with the cash register system to automatically lift the anti-theft status of paid goods, which not only improves anti-theft efficiency but also reduces the interference of false alarms on customers.

2.AM and RF tag frequencies: the game between anti-interference and cost

AM (Acoustic Magnetic) tags work in the low frequency range of 58kHz and have strong resistance to metal interference, making them suitable for anti-theft of high-value goods such as cosmetics and alcohol. However, the tag has a large volume and high cost; RF (Radio Frequency) tags often use the 8.2MHz high-frequency band, which is lightweight, flexible, and cost-effective. However, they are susceptible to metal or liquid interference and are commonly used in scenarios such as clothing and daily necessities. Supermarkets need to choose label types based on product characteristics to balance anti-theft effects and operating costs.
